Where to even start?!?!

Okay, so first up I went on a real REAL vacation. No dogs to tend to, go off and do whatever I wanted when I wanted and it was absolutely FABULOUS. I headed south and decided to go spend some time on Jekyll Island. I hit the beach immediately and went combing for stuff, which the hot item there seemed to be sand dollars. Sadly, quite a few broke between my travels and heading home, but I have some of the TINIEST sand dollars I've ever seen and am so giddy over them! The morning before I left the island I got to the beach before sun up and watched an excellent heat lightning show and found even more sand dollars. I also got bit by a TON of little bugs, but it was worth it. I also got to see the Drift Wood Beach towards the northern part of the island and that place was absolutely STUNNING. And I am planning on visiting there again, maybe in the off season, hehe. My next stop was to see some family and we hiked our butts off; I think the one day we clocked 11 miles? I got in a little bit of city mingling as well. It was truly the best week I've had in a long, LONG time. Beach, forest, city, wide open road. I put a lot on hold just to take this but WORTH IT!
